Raymond Wallace "Ray" Evans March 26, 1937 - March 30, 2016 Raymond Wallace "Ray" Evans, 79, of Chesterfield, died March 30, 2016 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. He was born March 26, 1937, in Rushville to Harley LeRoy and Ethel Mae (Nugent) Evans. He worked at Standts Manufacturing in Connersville; International Furniture Company in Rushville; owned and operated Evans Standard, then retired from Delco Remy after 30 years, and enjoyed 10 years at Wal-Mart as a greeter. He was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church ; 49 year member of Daleville Masonic Lodge #730, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, Madison County Shrine Club, Murat Shrine Club in Indianapolis. He enjoyed Sunday dinners with his family, visits with all his grandchildren and great grandchildren, collecting antiques and coins, watching old westerns, Judge Judy and the Price is Right. He and his wife enjoyed winters at Panama City Beach with his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Marlene (Kile) Evans; two sons, Dennis (Mary) Evans of Arlington, IN; J.W. (Pam) Evans of Jamestown, TN and his daughter, Mary Kay (Kent) McKeand of Port Charlotte, FL; seven grandchildren, Cory (Jenny) Evans; James Michael (Casey) Evans; Jenni (Ryan) Johnson , Josh (Heather) Evans, Jenna Rae (Ryan) Ross; Petty Officer First Class MM1 Kile (Jennifer) Evans, Cody McKeand; 15 great grandchildren, sisters, Wilma Dill of Anderson, Imogene Logan of Rushville and brother, Carl Evans of Rushville, and sisters-in-law, Renie Evans and Sue Evans and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Nioma (Byron) Bitner, Pauline (Donald) Coy, Clarence "Jack" Evans, Gerald (Winona) Evans, Dale Evans, sister-in-law, June Evans, brothers-in-law, Gene Dill and Harold Logan and a special cousin, Larry Nugent. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Chesterfield Christian Church officiated by Pastor Ned Clark. Friends may also call at the church one hour before the funeral on Monday. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Arlington, IN. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Masonic Rites by Daleville Lodge at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Give Kids the World Village; 210 S.
