FALL RIVER — Marilyn L. Buckley, age 89, of New Bedford, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River after a long illness. She was the wife of the late James M. Buckley, Sr.
Daughter of the late George W. and Mildred (Pierce) Pope, she was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident.
A graduate of New Bedford High School, she was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Carolyn L. Souza, her granddaughters Jessica L. Souza and Tammy Reed Ellis, her great granddaughter Elicia L. Cormier and her stepson James M. Buckley. She was the mother of the late Bradford W. Reed.
Visitation will take place in the WILSON CHAPEL, 479 County St. New Bedford on Saturday, April 2nd, from 3-5 p.m. with a service at 5 p.m. Burial is private
