LCDR James McLeod Robertson, USN Retd, 87, of Mystic died Monday, March 28, 2016 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. His beloved wife of 55 years, Ida Belle Robertson, predeceased him in 2005.
He retired after serving for 30 years in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He was a Mason, Scottish Rite, in the Old Colony Lodge in Hingham MA, a Shriner in the Aleppo Shrine in Willmington, MA, and a Boy Scout leader for troops in both Hull, MA and Old Mystic.
He was a member of the Navy Reserve Auxillary.
He is survived by his four children; James M. Robertson Jr., Kevin Robertson and his wife Kiz , Sherry Ryan and her husband William, and Donna Robertson, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
