Obituary

Mary B. LeBlanc

Augusta, GA –Mary B. LeBlanc entered into rest on Friday, March 25, 2016. She was 93 years old.

An Augusta native, Mary graduated from Tubman High School, then married Al LeBlanc. Together they had one daughter, Dianne LeBlanc McDonnell. Mary and her family attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church until its closing in 1971. As a homemaker, Mary enjoyed cooking, sewing, and entertaining. Ever a stickler for details, she worked as a bookkeeper before starting her own business, Westside Ceramics. After being widowed in 2001, Mary began attending Druid Park Bible Church with her daughter, Dianne.

When Dementia robbed Mary of her independence, she moved to Sevierville, Tennessee to live with her grandson and great-grandchildren. She was known to everyone by her nickname “Buddie”. Buddie attended Covenant Community Church and later moved to Mountain Brook Village, also in Sevierville. She loved everyone “a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck,” and she was loved by all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dianne “Red” McDonnell and Daniel McDonnell; grandson and wife, Brian McDonnell and Saralyn Bruggemann McDonnell; and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 1, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Westview Cemetery with Brian McDonnell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wears Valley Ranch, 100 One Fine Place, Sevierville, TN 37862, www.wvr.org , a Christ-centered home and school for children.
