Lena M. (Andrews) Brown, 69, of New Bedford died Friday March 25, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Wareham, the daughter of the late William V. and Evelyn M. (DePina) Andrews, she was raised in Marion and lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a devoted member of the Fairhaven Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mrs. Brown was formerly employed as an administrative assistant at UMass Dartmouth until her retirement.
She loved drawing and painting.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph Andrews of Wareham, Scott Ross of Yarmouthport, and Earl Ross and his wife Leanne Fisher-Ross of New Bedford; a sister, Angelina Thompson of New Bedford; three brothers, William Andrews, Jr. and Steve Andrews, both of New Bedford, and Paul Andrews of Clearwater, FL; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Robert Andrews, Sr. and Sandra Andrews.
Her visitation will be held on Saturday April 2, 2016 from 1-4 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with a Memorial Service being held at 3 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
