Geneva (Powell) Smith, 72, of Anderson died March 28, 2016 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born May 29, 1943 in Baxter, Tennessee, the daughter of Mont and Mary (Stanley) Powell.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts, sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband, Leo W. Smith of Anderson whom she married August 11, 1967; Leo M (Jenny) Smith and Arthur (Sherry) Smith; granddaughter, Andrea Smith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Margaret Smith, Lottie Smith, Paul and Wanda Smith, Richard (Nancy Stone) Smith, Virgil (Susie) Smith, and Marvin (Judy) Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers-in-law, Robert Smith, Arthur Smith, Jr., Leon Smith and Herbert Smith, and two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Moss and Geneva Lamprey.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service officiated by Dr. Dennis Zirkle of Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society or American Cancer Society.
