William F. Augustus of Medford died Sunday, March 27, at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Elmer "Gus" and Alice (Burns) Augustus. William proudly served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was the cherished brother of Betsy Aylward and her husband David of New York, Peggy Augustus and her companion Cleto Ferzoco of Medford, Ruthie Jamgochian and her husband Jay of Medford, and Charlee Augustus of Las Vegas. William is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, on Thursday, March 31, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 2:15 PM.
