Stephens, Martha J. (Thornhill), 81, passed away March 25, 2016 in Louisville.
She was born to Earl and Martha (Stockard) Thornhill.
Martha was a 1955 graduate of Norton’s School of Nursing, and worked as an RN for Dr. Larson Sr., and Robert Kidd from 1955-1985, then with Dr. Larson Jr., Dr. Brough, and Dr. Brockman, where she retired in 2005.
The kids loved “Nurse Jean” as much as she loved them.
She is preceded in death by her parents; an ex-husband: Earl Tichenor, her husband: Allen Stephens; and four siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Carolyn Jean Tichenor, and Earl Wayne Tichenor;
two grandchildren: Lauren and Brianna Tichenor; and three great-grandchildren: Nayanna, Gionna, and Kyson.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00PM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Entombment is at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is Wednesday 1:00-8:00 PM
