Agnes Freeman Kelly, 95, of Ocilla, died Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Frank Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County, with Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in the Brushy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Kelly was born May 16, 1920, in Irwin County, Georgia to the late Roy Quinn & Bertha McMillan Freeman. She lived in the community all of her life and was a homemaker. Mrs. Kelly will be remembered by her family for her wonderful cooking. She enjoyed growing flowers and working in her yard as well as doing hand work and cross stitching pictures. She was a member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Tim Kelly of Wray; grandchildren: Nicki & Steve Nichols of Mystic, Shawn & Ashley Kelly of Ocilla, and Josh & Samantha Kelly of Irwinville; great-grandchildren: Luke Nichols, Zack Nichols, Ashton Nichols, Seth Kelly, Emmett Kelly, and Elaina Kelly; a sister-in-law, Jewell Freeman of Ocilla; and two brothers-in-law: Robert Fain and Cecil Rigdon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Thomas Kelly and son Al Kelly. She was also preceded in death by three brothers Prentis Freeman, Cecil Freeman, and Roy Freeman, Jr. and four sisters Ethel Grace Gaff, Louise Johnson, Betty Laura Fain and Nelle F. Rigdon.
