Pearl (DeSciscio) Serra of Medford died on Friday, March 25, at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. Born and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Yolanda (Mori) DeSciscio.
Pearl was the beloved wife of Ralph Serra, and the devoted mother of Steven Serra and his wife Eileen of Marblehead, Andrea Masciari and her husband Vincent of Belmont, Natalie Serra and her partner Linda of Santa Monica, CA, Christopher Serra and his wife Jessica of Conway, Gregory Serra and his wife Katie of Medford. She was the loving grandmother of Christopher, Stephanie, Daniel, Emily, Julia, Lauren, William, Elijah and Marco, and the loving great grandmother of Samara and James. Pearl was the cherished sister of Marie DiCiccio and her husband Paul of East Boston, and the late Edmondo, Vincent, Richard, Robert and Ralph. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, March 29, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday, March 28 from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
