GANNON, Leo Arthur (Ret. BPD) Longtime resident of Roslindale formerly of West Roxbury, March 24, 2016. Beloved husband of Josephine (Murray) Gannon.

Devoted father of Leo John Gannon and his wife Virginia of West Roxbury, Mary Jo Kefalis and her husband William of Roslindale, Nancy Linnehan and her husband Jack of Plymouth, Paula Pineo and her husband Richard of Weymouth and Mark Murray Gannon of Ipswich. Loving grandfather of Elizabeth, Leo Joseph, and Danny Gannon, Andrew, Tina, and Tom Kefalis, Adam, Greg, and Sarah Linnehan, Katelyn, Richard Jr., and Pam Pineo. Great grandfather of Emma, Mark, Samantha, Hailey, Gavin, Lainey, Zachary, Violet, Anthony and Xavier.

Son of the late Leo W. and Hilda (Greifeld) Gannon. Brother of Joan Whalen of Abington, William Gannon of FL. and Bridgewater, Barbara Mullane of Brewster and the late Patricia Gannon and Marie Scully. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Patrolman BPD, District 4, South End and District 1, Government Center. Security officer for One Beacon, Boston. Korean War Veteran, U.S. Navy and US Coast Guard. Member of the Emerald Society of the Boston Police, and the American Legion Fogg Robert Post #78, Hyde Park. Avid reader, history buff, and storyteller.

Funeral from the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY Tuesday, March 29th at 9am. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Lower Church, Roslindale at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Monday, March 28th from 4-8pm in the funeral home. Interment with military funeral honors at Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne Tuesday at 12:45pm.
