Imelda L. Turcotte 99, formerly of Woonsocket, died March 22, 2016 at Overlook Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Cyrille A. Turcotte. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Anselme and Emma (Toupin)
Champoux. Imelda worked in the Dietary Department of the former Woonsocket Hospital for twenty years. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Senior Citizens and the former St Joseph’s Ladies Guild
Imelda is survived by a son Henry Turcotte of Harrisville, four daughters Jeannette Lapierre of Mapleville, Pauline Thonnard, Paulette Nainteau, and Jacqueline Moore, all of Lake Havasu, AZ, a sister Jeannette Crevier of W. Warwick, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Lucille Carpentier.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham,. Visiting hours are Monday 5-8 p.m.
