Obituary

Roger W. Brown, 86, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was born on May 23, 1929 in Danville, IL, a son of the late Hoyt and Florence (Cole) Brown. Roger was a baseball pitcher and was signed by the Brooklyn Dodger organization in May of 1945, and played for various farm teams in the MLB. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid golfer. He had a long and successful career in human resources; having retired in 1991 from the Sanders Division of Lookheed/Martin. He really enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He and his wife Mary spent many winters in Naples, FL and summers in Nashua, NH. They also travelled through Europe and South America.
Roger is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary (Fennell) Brown; his son, Roger W. Brown, II; four grandchildren, Lindsay and her husband Ronald (Zippy) Roberts of AZ, Trevor Chapman of OK, and Ryan and Tyler Brown of Nashua; as well as four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Susan (Brown) Chapman.
Roger will be interred in Rossville, IL. The family requests that in lieu of cards and flowers, donations be made in his name to the American Heart Association, and or the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, MA. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium is assisting the family with local arrangements.
