Louise Julia Christophersen, 93, of Derry, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at her son’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 6, 1922 in Boston, MA a daughter of the late James and Mary (Godfrey) Bonfanti. Louise was raised in Dorchester, MA, eventually becoming a resident of New Hampshire in the mid 1960’s where she purchased her home on Beaver Lake. She retired from New England Telephone and Telegraph after more than 30 years as a telephone operator. She was a member of St. Peters Parish, Auburn, NH.
She is survived by her children, Jean Lorden and her husband Robert of Auburn, NH, Paul Christophersen and his wife Debra of Plaistow, John Christophersen and his wife Bonnie of Derry, Thomas Christophersen and his wife Susan of Charlestown, MA. Louise is also survived by many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Nils J. Christophersen.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. Burial followed in Auburn Village Cemetery. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry are handling the arrangements.
