Frederick Raymond Tupper, 88, of Derry, NH, died Monday, March 21, 2016 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, where he was recovering from a broken hip resulting from a fall. Fred was a lifelong resident of Derry, and graduated from Pinkerton Academy, as well as Tufts University. He had retired as a Senior Engineer with Western Electric in Andover, MA after 50 years of employment. Earlier in his life, Fred was a Derry Civil Defense Officer and served as a Commander in the US Power Squadron. He also was musically talented, playing saxophone and piano in local ensembles in his younger days.
Fred is survived by his sister, Virginia Tupper Johnson of Belfast, ME, and his niece, Suzanne MacLeod of Belfast, ME.
Following cremation, Fred will be buried in the family plot in Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements. To send a condolence, or for more
