Obituary

Hill-----Raymond "Skip" Carpenter Stockley, Jr., 74, passed away suddenly at his home in Hill, NH on March 9, 2016. He was the loving husband of Dorothy Akerman (Libby) Stockley who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his parents, Raymond C. Stockley, Sr. and Stella Hope (Berry) Stockley. He was born in Providence, RI, but lived most of his life in Hill. His career was working at binderies or machine shops in RI and NH. He enjoyed his many friends, birds, animals and Nascar.
Remaining family members include his sisters: Nancy Parker of South Kingstown, RI and Jane White and her husband, Jeffrey G. White of Alexandria, NH; two nieces; Christin D’Ovidio and her partner, Patrick Alvey of Bow, NH; and Elizabeth and her husband, Daniel Chang of Penacook, NH; five great nieces and nephews, Stella and Maxwell D’Ovidio-Alvey and Belladonna, Tai and Rose Chang.
The family wishes to offer special thanks to Dr. Diane Kistler and her nurse, Debbie Richardson of New Hampton Family Practice, and Ray’s neighbors, Jamie Hollins and Vikki Dickinson. Thanks also to the Hill Fire Department, Bristol Ambulance Services and Franklin VNA and Hospice for previous adventures and to the many friends who looked out for him, and he them…. the true essence of community.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Homeland Cemetery in Bristol, NH on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM when his ashes will be interred.
