Joao D. Fernandes (35) of Brockton formerly of Cape Verdean died March 22nd in the Brockton Hospital.
He was born in Mosterios, Fogo, Cape Verde son of late Fidelio Fernandes and Augusta Goncalves. Joao worked for an office cleaning company. He loved listening to music, cars and socializing with family and friends.
In addition to his mother he is survived by 2 sons Jason and Fidelio (Manny) Fernandes both of Brockton, 1 daughter Jonaire Fernandes of Boston, 3 brothers Filipe (Manny) Fernandes of Brockton, Ilario Correia Duarte and Antonio Fernandes both of Fogo, Cape Verde, 10 sisters Vinda, Lia, Carminha, Bete and Morgoda all of Brockton, Maria Santos and Fatima Duarte both of Boston, Maria Fernandes of Portugal, Marcilina and Domingas both of Fogo, Cape Verde.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Wednesday March 30th at 8 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church Brockton at 9 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday March 29th from 5-9 pm.
