Hoyt Laminack, 80, of Bremen, Georgia, died Saturday, March 19, 2016, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Pope City Baptist Church, in Wilcox County, Georgia, with the Rev. David Biggers officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning, from 9:45 AM until the service hour at the church.
Mr. Laminack was born April 9, 1935, in Heflin, Alabama, to the late Ermon Jackson and Nellie Mae Hart Laminack. He had lived in Bremen since 1996. He retired from Atlanta Gas & Light Company after thirty-five years of service as a division superintendent in Rome and Atlanta. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for four years and was a member of the Kiwanis International in Atlanta. Mr. Laminack was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rome.
He is survived by his children: Melissa L. Jolly & Kevin of LaGrange and Scott Laminack & his fiancé`: Andrea Ricca; grandchildren: Taylor Jolly, Anderson Jolly, Alyssa Jolly and Harley Shope; a brother: Sherman Laminack & Betty of Abbeville; two sisters: Jeanette L. Thompson of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Betty L. Biggers of Ocilla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
