SMEATON - Cecilia Ryals Smeaton, 69, of Fernandina Beach passed away Saturday afternoon, March 19, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Smeaton was a lifelong resident of Fernandina Beach. She was a member of the 1966 graduating class of Fernandina Beach High School and a member of Memorial Methodist Church where she was active with several ministries. She was a hair dresser for over 30 years. Mrs. Smeaton enjoyed spending time with family and church gathering and celebrations.
She was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Renner Ryals.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Smeaton; children Sherie Miller Clerc (Norman), Ann Miller Pokines (Shaun), and Denease Taylor Munn (Ray); extended children Sherry Smeaton Cruz and Mark Smeaton (Nancy); Grandchildren Kailynn Pokines, Allison Pokines, Shaun Pokines, Jr. and McKendree Munn; extended grandchildren Jeremy Cruz and Nicole Smeaton; great grandchildren Abigail Holm and Logan Cruz; brothers, Jack Sikes and Joe Ryals; her sister and best friend, Nell Mitchell and several nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Memorial United Methodist Church in Maxwell Hall.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in the memory of Cecilia Smeaton be made to the Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund.
