Debra Sue Hall, 54, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Monday, March 21, 2016, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Allen Arowood officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Hall was born March 10, 1962, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to Billy & Mary Estelle Black Mitchell. She was a homemaker and formerly worked for Shaw Industries as a machine operator. Mrs. Hall enjoyed cooking and fishing and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her famous pies and buttermilk biscuits. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John T. Hall of Irwin County; four children and their spouses: John Patrick Hall & Melissa, Thomas Waylon Hall & Michelle, Amos Hall & Amy Guess, and Cindy & Robbie Horton, all of Irwin County; grandchildren: Thristian Adrian Hall, Rebecca Rose Hall, Gregory Thomas Hall, Zachary Dean Hall, Thomas Jacob Horton, Cordelia Hall, and Sallie Marie Horton; her parents: Billy & Estelle Mitchell of Irwin County; her siblings and their spouses: Connie Palmer & Chad Featherston of Worth County; Willie D. Mitchell & Donna Sneed of Irwin County; and Allen Mitchell & Sheila Reed of Irwin County. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chastity Alyssa Nicole Hall.
