SPRINGFIELD – William Bruce, 70, of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Friday, March 18, 2016. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Belchertown on September 19, 1945, a beloved son of the late Raymond and Violet (Hall) Bruce. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force and received the National Defense Service Medal. He was previously employed at Pizza Hut in Chicopee and Holyoke. A Committal Service with United States Air Force Military Honors will be held on Thursday afternoon, March 24, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
