Jayne was born on November 11, 1954 in Winchester, MA, to Mr. Robert Heitz and Bertha (Penney) Heitz. After high school, Jayne joined the US Air Force where she seized the opportunity to become a medic. She married Anthony Pinson in 1977 and gave birth to their daughter. Upon receiving her honorable discharge she moved back to Massachusetts and procured her designation as a "Licensed Practical Nurse." As accredited, she then worked in a nursing home in Brockton for several years. Ultimately, devoting herself to the third shift of the U.S. Postal Service where she retired as a Mail Handler in 2007. Looking back on her life , did she conscientiously , discreetly , and deliberately , always choose to serve others in humanity. First, in air force to our country, then to the elderly in our health care, and to the world in our post offices.

Jayne cherished time with her daughter ; always working overnights to have some daylight hours with her. She married Scott D. Stevens February 26, 1994. They often enjoyed fishing at Maidstone Lake in Vermont or Myles Standish Park in Plymouth, MA. Together, they were die-hard New England Sports fans and enjoyed late night grilling as well as Sunday dinners. The couple lived in Brockton for several years.

Jayne was devoted to her granddaughters and very proud of their accomplishments. She was an enormous fan of NCIS and one of her prized possessions was an "Official NCIS" hat from the Washington Navy Yard NCIS Headquarters. When diagnosed with lung cancer in 2015, she remained dedicated to her family and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final days.

Jayne is greeted in heaven by her loving Husband, Scott Stevens (2013), her Mother Bertha (1993), her sister, Donna (2003) and her Nephew Chris (2015).
