Joseph A. Alibrandi, age 83, of Brockton, died peacefully, March 18, 2016 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. Joe was the loving husband for 59 years of Celia M. (Abate) Alibrandi. He was born, raised and educated in Boston, son of the late Antonio and Antonina (Agrillo) Alibrandi. He was a Korean War Veteran who served with the Navy aboard the USS O’Hare. A hard working man, Joe had been employed for 25 years at HP Hood and Son, was a driver for Dial A Bat and worked at his son’s shop, Fitness Auto Body. He enjoyed antique cars, his antique truck, building model cars and bowling. He was also an avid sports fan.
In addition to his wife Celia, he is survived by his children Karen Alibrandi of Ocoee, FL and Joseph Alibrandi and his wife Cheryl of West Bridgewater; four grandchildren Ryan, Kyle, Adam and Lexi Flanigan; three great grandchildren Kennadie, Parker and Tanner Flanigan; his sister Marion Alibrandi of Weymouth and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Peter Alibrandi and Frances Puleo.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 8am for a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am.
