Mrs. Elaine R. (Clancy) Renaud, of Taunton, died peacefully in the arms of her family Friday, March 18 at her residence following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph F. Renaud. She was born 71 years ago in Brockton, the daughter of the late Herman and Jenny (Spakowski) Clancy. She was educated in Brockton, having graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School, and had been a Taunton resident for the past 20 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a teacher and Assistant Director at KinderCare of Bridgewater for several years. She was previously employed as a hairstylist, and was a homemaker for many years. Elaine also volunteered at the Immaculate Conception Church Sunday School in Easton. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, and participating in classic car shows and "cruise nights" with her husband.
In addition to her husband, she was the beloved mother of Cynthia Beauchesne and her husband, Dana of Nottingham, N.H., and Patricia Magri and her husband, John of Lincolnville, Me. Elaine also leaves 6 grandchildren: Zoie, Jet, and Colt Magri, Sophie and Olivia Beauchesne, and Nina Losee, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Wednesday, March 23 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
