Earnest Lee Rowell, Jr., 47, of Enigma, Georgia, died, Friday, March 18, 2016 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, March 21, 2016 at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Roger Cherry officiating. Eric Griffin will give the eulogy. Interment will follow in Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Tift County. The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the funeral home in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Lee was born in Ocilla, Georgia, June 26, 1968, to Hilda Keiner Rowell, who survives, of Wray, and the late Earnest Lee “Buddy” Rowell, Sr. He was retired from Tifton Aluminum as a Machinist; he was a 1986 graduate of Telfair County High School and Ben Hill-Irwin Tech. He attended Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ben Hill County. Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the Brookfield Auctions, was an avid collector of Guns and Knives. He especially loved his cat “Missy”.
In addition to his mother; survivors include his siblings and their spouses: Collins Rowell and Ann of Ocilla, Jenny R. Luke and husband Donnie of Fitzgerald and Christine R. Price and husband Danny of Alapaha, Georgia; also surviving are two nieces and one nephew; and four great nephews.
