WAYLAND: Dennis N. Specter, 67, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2016 in Framingham surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born in Waltham on December 14, 1948 the son of the late Norman R. Specter and Frances B. (Waitowicz) Specter.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janie (Molnar) Specter. Father of Kathleen (Specter) Moog; Carol Specter and Jessica Specter. Brother of Richard Specter and grandfather of Savina Rose Battista.
Dennis was an aviation mechanic at Logan Airport in Boston for over 40 years before retiring. An avid reader and student of history, Dennis also enjoyed helping at his church, Good Shepherd Parish in Wayland, and traveling with his beloved wife. Together he and Janie toured Europe, South and Central America and many states throughout the United States.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte 30), Wayland.
Family and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin Church, 99 Main Street (Rte 27), Wayland. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Dennis’s memory may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St, and 2nd floor, Framingham, MA 01701 or Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
