MSG (R) Stephen Randall Fisher
June 19, 1952- March 17, 2016


After years of suffering with Emphysema, MSG (R) Stephen Randall Fisher is finally at rest. He passed away on March 17, 2016 at Community Hospital in Anderson, IN.

He was born in Anderson, on June 19, 1952, the son of Leo and Thelma (Boaz) Fisher. Steve resided in Chesterfield, and was a 1970 graduate of Highland High School. He enlisted in the United States Army in June of 1972 and retired from Active Duty in June of 1996. While serving as the Telecommunications Operations Chief and Senior Signal Sergeant with the 138th Signal Battalion, MSG Stephen Fisher completed many training courses including the NCO Battle Skills. Decorations awarded included the National Defense Service Medal (1 Bronze Star), Army Achievement Medal, and the NCO Professional Development Medal, among others. Steve was also a life time member of the American Legion Post 408 and the 40&8 Voiture 510.


He is survived by his daughter, Tobi (husband Francisco) Padron of Fishers and his son, Timothy of Anderson, his grandchildren, Riley and Claire Padron of Fishers, his sister, Dottie (husband Jeff) Crosley of Chesterfield, and his niece, Leslie (husband Greg) Clark and her family Jacob, Dylan and Allie all of Alexandria.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Thelma Fisher.

The family would like to thank Steve's close friends David Babb and Steve Marlow for their many acts of friendship and service, and Dr. Kabir and the ICU nurses and staff for their kindness and professionalism.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield will full military honors.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday from 1 to 3 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions maybe given to the Hopewell Center-Independent Living Services, 5325 Main Street, Anderson, Indiana 46013.
