Obituary

Walter Lee Bolster at the age of 88 years old passed away suddenly in the Elliot Hospital of Manchester, NH on March 18, 2016. He was born in Eliot, Maine on October 12, 1927 and was the son of Merle and Adelia (Cronkite) Bolster. Walter grew up on a dairy farm in Buxton, Maine before moving to NH as a resident for 53 years. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Greatest Generation that of World War II. He loved travelling the country driving a tractor-trailer and in his lifetime of driving had a perfect driving record. He was known as a true gentleman and often referred to as a "gentle giant" and a man of strong faith. His love and devotion to God, family and friends was beyond inspiring. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his wife Barbara who Walter would always say she was the love of his life for the past 67 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara (Smyth) Bolster of Manchester, NH, four children, Brenda Smith and her husband Dana of Deerfield, NH, Dana M. Bolster of Manchester, NH, David Bolster and his wife Bonnie of Goffstown NH, and Wendy L. Mignault of Weare, NH, six grandchildren, Amy Malone, Andrew Smith, Jonathan and Kasandra Bolster, Melissa Paulhamus, and Lindsey Scribner, five great-grandchildren, Bianca, Audrey, Caitlin, Noah and Samuel and many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11 AM in the Calvary Bible Church, 145 Hampstead Road, Derry, NH.
