Norman K. Jacobs Sr., 86, of Derry, NH, died Wednesday March 9, 2016, in Fitzwilliam, NH. He was born in Hampton, NH on December 30, 1929, a son of the late John and Beatrice (Hill) Jacobs. Norman was drafted into the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a well-known Windham business owner for over 40 years. Norman gave a lot to his community. He was a hard worker and in his spare time enjoyed riding motorcycles and time with his family.
He is survived by one daughter, Marjorie Groulx of Derry, one son, Norman K. Jacobs, Jr. of Brookneal, VA, a granddaughter he raised as his own child, Tammy Jacobs of Londonderry, as well as his other grandchildren, Tina Jordan of Manchester, Bryan Jacobs of HI, Keyth Jacobs and Dayne Jacobs, both of VA; a great grandson, Andrew Jacobs of Londonderry; six sisters, Rosemary Norris and Jean Sanborn, both of NC, Elise Menard of Jaffrey, Sandy Houle and her husband Roy of CT, Kathy Rioux of Chester, and Dot Naylor of Derry; one brother, Robert Jacobs and his wife Joyce of St. Albans, VT.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Londonderry Baptist Church, 368 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The Jacobs family has set up a Go Fund Me account to help defray the funeral costs and donations may be made to https://www.gofundme.com/dwtf572k
