BURLINGTON, VT: Lester E. Jewer, Sr., age 71, of Coventry, VT, died Sunday, June 26, 2005 in Burlington, VT.
He was born in Medford, MA on May 18, 1934, the son of the late Harold J. and Mary (MacQuarrie) Jewer.
Mr. Jewer worked in the security industry in Massachusetts.
He moved to Vermont ten years ago to be closer to his family.
Mr. Jewer enjoyed fishing, playing pool and cards and visiting the ocean.
He is survived by his wife; Barbara (Miller) Jewer of Chelmsford; his children; Betty Tinker and her husband Bernie of Derby, VT, Lester E. Jewer, Jr. and his wife Donna of Irasburg, VT, Kevin Jewer and his fiancée Lisa Hancock of Newport and Kim Gray and her husand Todd of Albany; his brother; Robert Jewer and his wife Gloria of Tewksbury; his sister; Barbara Jensen and her husband Carl and Shirley Guthrie and her husband Paul all of Tewksbury; numerous grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; his former wife and friend; Barbara Carroll of Beebe, VT.
Mr. Jewer was predeceased by his daughter; Karen; his brother; James and his sister; Elizabeth Jensen.
Calling hours Thursday, June 30th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME, 16 LEE ST., TEWKSBURY. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1st at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery.
