Kevin J. Rapoza, age 51, of Tiverton RI, passed away on March 17, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Judy (Hemingway) Rapoza of 15 years, and son of the late Alfred and Lillian (Pacheco) Rapoza. He was a Financial Administrator at the Newport Navy Base, a member of the Emmaus Community, Knight of Columbus, and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Newport where he was a Eucharistic Minister and very involved in youth ministry. Kevin loved his family first and foremost, enjoyed working around the house, doing yardwork, planning backyard movie nights, avid Patriots fan, and devoted dad to his dog Porthos.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his siblings; Veronica Vargas (husband John), Alfred Rapoza, Paul Rapoza (wife Doreen), Gary Rapoza (wife Brenda), father and mother-in-law; Charles and Mary Hemingway, sister-in-law; Mary Ann Hemingway, brother-in-law; Joe Hemingway, aunt and uncle; Ti Mammie and Uncle Joe, and several godchildren, nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Laureen Rapoza and Arlene Correia.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday here at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Mary’s Church, Newport at 11 A.M. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. Calling hours on Monday from 4-8 P.M.
