TAUNTON – Anthony P. Barber, husband of Marcia E. (Roderick) Barber, died unexpectedly at Morton Hospital on March 16, 2016.
He was 69.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Antone and Gwendolyn (Gray) Barber.
A lifelong resident of Taunton, Tony was a 1965 graduate of Taunton High School.
He later served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
A retired electrician, Tony was employed by Texas Instruments for many years and had also worked in security.
He was currently working as a delivery man for Bristol Elders Services.
He was a member of the Liberty Christian Center.
An artist, Tony loved caricature, cartooning and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Kristine Barber of Taunton, Allyson Barber of Fall River and Shanna Andrews and her husband Chris of Wareham; six grandchildren, Matthew, Terrance, Zakary, Colby, Zora and Chanche; two great-grandchildren, Jayce and Jaxon; two aunts, Shirley Baldwin of Chicago, IL and Dorothy Duarte of Newport, RI; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Liberty Christian Center, 159 Winthrop St., Taunton on Saturday, March 19th at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will be receiving visitors at the Liberty Christian Center from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the services.
