In Taunton, March 10, 2016 Joy A. (Pheffer) Auld, Age 87, passed away at home peacefully while surrounded by her loving family. Joy was the wife of the late John Auld Sr. She was born in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of the late Bernard & Bernice (King) Pheffer. Joy had resided in Indiana until her health allowed and has been in Taunton the past six months. Joy was educated in IN and PA schools. She was a Cub Scout Leader and enjoyed doing puzzles, playing games and above all was a devoted and caring wife and mother who cherished her family. Joy is survived by her son John Auld Jr. and his wife Sandy of Taunton and her late daughter Karen Pepmeier and her late son in law Donald Pepmeier. Her grandchildren Joshua Auld of Taunton, Mark Auld and his wife Beth of Bellingham, Brian Pepmeier and his wife Rochelle of Patterson, CA, Laura Hassell and her husband Jeffrey of Norton and Joy Sirois and her husband Kenneth of Corinth, ME. and her ten great grandchildren. Joy also leaves her cousin Cindy Hagen of Vincennes, IN and her care provider Marie Boen and many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Arrangements are being handled by the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, MA. A service will be held on April 2, 2016 at 10 am. in the United Church of Christ, 496 Main St., Medfield, MA 02052. Grandma will be laid to rest with her husband and daughter in Indiana in July.
