Robert P. “Chuck” Cote, 81, of Gorham, NH passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 16, 2016 in the same house in which he was born. He was born in Gorham on July 25, 1934 the son of Philip T. J. and Arline (Ellis) Cote and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Gorham High in 1952 and had been employed by Brown Company and was a member of the Union Local #75. He was later employed by the Town of Gorham for 17 years as a heavy duty truck driver, retiring in 1995 when he then worked for the Bryant Funeral Home. Bob was a member and director of the Millsfield Sportsman’s Club, a past member of the Gorham Rotary Club, a Life Member of the Fur, Feather & Finn Club, a member of the F. O. E. Aire #1464 in Berlin and a Deputy Forest Fire Warden in Gorham since 1969. One of Bob’s greatest achievements was being on the Town of Gorham Fire Department for 62 years as a certified fire fighter and he loved driving the fire truck in local parades. He was also very proud of being a 39 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

(Teri)Cote of Errol, NH, Brian P.(Kathy) Cote of Gorham, NH and Mrs. Scott (Debbie) Fisk of Bradford, VT; stepchildren Mrs. David (Linda) Canter of Berlin, NH, Mrs. Wayne (Sandra) Yacek of Berlin, NH; Mrs. Larry (Leslie) Dungan of Nashua, NH, Ms. Cindy Doe of Wolfeboro, NH and Mrs. Patrick (Jeanne)Shay of Richfield, WI; grandchildren; great grandchildren; cousins and his former wife Lucille Cote of Gorham, NH. He was predeceased by a son Shawn Cote, a sister Geneviere Montminy and a brother Oscar A. Cote.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday March 21, 2016 at 10 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the Lary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham, NH on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, Bob has asked that donations be made to the Gorham Fire Department, 347 Main St., Gorham, NH, 03570 or to the Friendship House, 2957 Main St., Bethlehem, NH, 03574.
