Mr. Michael F. Collins, a resident of Woburn, formerly of Medford, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday morning, March 13, 2016. He was 32 years old. Born in Medford on March 5, 1984, he was the beloved son of Patricia M. (Buckland) and the late Michael J. Collins. Michael was a 3rd year student at the University of Lowell, studying business. He loved history, computers, video games, learning and could regale you with stories on almost any topic. He was an MMA/UFC enthusiast and worked part-time as a columnist for mmaoddsbreaker.com. Michael also enjoyed traveling to Disney every year with his family. Above all, he was a devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his loving mother, Patricia, he is survived by his sister; Cathleen M. and her husband Frank J. Russo of Medford, his grandmother Elaine Buckland of Medford; his uncle, Raymond J. and his wife Robin Buckland of Lynn and cousin Sean Buckland of Lynn, and his uncle, William F. and his wife Bernadette Coakley of Medford. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and his cat Chloe.
Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Friday, March 18, 2016, from 4 to 8. Interment and funeral service will be privately held.
