In Taunton, March 13, 2016 Carolyn (Moore) Romani, age 78, passed away in Longmeadow Nursing Home in Taunton. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was the older daughter of the late Clifford Stanton Moore and Helen (Fornal) Moore. Following her freshman year of high school her family moved to Taunton, Ma. She graduated from Taunton High School with honors and completed the program at Katherine Gibbs School in Providence, RI. Carolyn moved to Raynham in the early 1960’s where she resided until her death. After raising her children, Carolyn returned to work. She was employed at the Kendall Company in Boston, where she was the administrative assistant to the Vice President of Human Resources. She then worked for the Champion Company from which she retired. As a young woman, Carolyn was an active member of the community. She was a member of the Junior Women’s Club, a board member of the Taunton Boys and Girls Club and a member of the Morton Hospital Auxiliary. Her last affiliation was with the International Quota Club for professional women. Carolyn leaves her three daughters; Nancy Mael of Middleboro, Debra Cananzey of Fall River and Elizabeth Romani of Raynham. She had six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Lola J. Moore of Taunton, Ma. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, Ma. Following a private service, Carolyn will be interred at the Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham, Ma. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carolyn’s memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, Ma 02215.
