Obituary

NORTH DIGHTON – Robert D. Bleau, 81, of North Dighton died at St. Anne’s Hospital on March 12, 2016, following a short illness.
Born in Dighton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lena M. (Talbot) Bleau.
He was a lifelong resident of Dighton. A graduate of Dighton High School, he formerly owned and operated Bleau Electric for many years, until retiring some time ago. He was also the Electrical Inspector for the Town of Dighton. Following his retirement, Robert worked for a brief time as maintenance supervisor for the Bristol County Agricultural High School.
A communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Church, Robert enjoyed NASCAR and was the proud owner of a former NASCAR pace car. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking. A tractor pulling enthusiast, he especially enjoyed spending time with grandson, Peter - his friend and best buddy.
In addition to his grandson, he leaves his son, Peter Bleau and his wife Lisa of N. Dighton; his sister, Dorothy Torres and her husband Frank of Dighton and his Old English Sheepdog, Cleo.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, March 18th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, N. Dighton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 17th from 5 to7 p.m.
