Theresa (Albertini) Manganelli, 93, of Fairhaven died Monday June 27, 2005 at the Oaks Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late John Manganelli who died in 1985.
Born in Fairhaven on August 26, 1911, the daughter of the late Eliseo and Nazzarena (Vencenzi) Albertini, she lived in Fairhaven most of her life.
Theresa found enjoyment in and around her lovely home. She derived great pleasure from her daily walks with a dear neighbor as they watched the family of swans who inhabit Mill Pond. Theresa's favorite pastime was shopping. She also took pleasure in knitting items to donate to St. Joseph's Church. She especially loved the annual "Ma Manganelli" holiday brunches with several family members and her "adopted daughters".
She is survived by a daughter Carol Adams, and her husband Robert, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a sister, Doris Desrosiers, and her husband Ernest, of Acushnet; two step-grandchildren, James Adams of Dartmouth and Janet Adams of Seattle, Washington; four nieces, Janet Mullett, Elaine Sylvia, Marice Millen, and Marlene Baker; and four nephews, Norman Manganelli, John Bussolari, Donald Malaguti, and Bruce Desrosiers.
She was the sister of the late Eva Albertini, Emily Gwozdz, and Annie Malaguti.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett Thursday June 30, 2005 at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, Fairhaven at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday June 29, 2005 from 4-7 PM. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
