PATRICIA ELLEN (CURLEY) MCKENZIE, age 80, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, formerly of Hingham, passed away on Saturday, June 25th at the Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Boston, the daughter of the late Watson E. Curley and the late Josephine (Cantwell) Curley. She resided in Hingham for many years before moving to Palm Beach Gardens 39 years ago.
Mrs. McKenzie was a waitress for many years and was employed at restaurants in the Palm Beaches such as Frederick's Restaurant, Manero's Restaurant and Ernie's Restaurant. Mrs. McKenzie was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah McKenzie and a son, Brian McKenzie.
Mrs. McKenzie is survived by two devoted sons: Robert Wellington McKenzie, III of Palm Beach Gardens and Stewart James McKenzie of Halifax; a granddaughter, Chelsea Kathrine McKenzie of Mountville, PA; two brothers; Robert Curley of Okeechobee, FL and Donald Curley and his wife Jane of West Palm Beach, FL; two sisters: Virginia Ketchum of Riviera Beach, FL and Judith Colbath and her husband Walter of Palm Beach Gardens. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and her loving friend, Juan Carlos Gonzalez of Halifax.
A Prayer Service will be conducted on Friday, July 1st at 11 AM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham. The interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
