James Fernandes, age 55, of Fall River, passed away fighting a short illness on March 11, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Jovina “Jenny” (Correia) Fernandes and the late Joseph S. Fernandes, Jr. He was a 1978 graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. James loved working on cars, watching sports & fishing. For the past 18 years he worked as a machinist at D&B Machining, Inc.
Along with his mother, James leaves behind his children Joshua and Kaylee Fernandes; siblings Kathleen and David (wife Kim) Fernandes; grandsons David and Nickolas Perry; nieces Jennilyn Fernandes, Jaime Borden (husband Doug), Alyssa Aubut (husband Chris) and Jessica Rapoza (husband Chad); great-nephews Brody Beaumier and Evan Borden and great-nieces Emma Borden, Lily Aubut and Hayden Rapoza.
