NEW BEDFORD - Louise M. Cea, age 90 years, of New Bedford, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital after a period of declining health.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Goulart and the late Catherine Gillis Goulart and lived in this area for many years.
Louise was formerly employed as a telephone operator for Southern Bell Company.
She was well known as a talented artist and taught in several art schools around the country. Her special interest was clipper ships and water scenes. Some of her artwork is displayed in City Hall in New Bedford.
Louise was the mother of Annie Jo, Daniel Anthony Cea and Christopher Cea and the late Rocco Cea and Stephen Guy Cea, and grandmother of Elizabeth Cea and Lauri Baez.
