Virginia M.(Burns) Gately, age 76, of Centerville, formerly a longtime resident of Milton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 12, 2016. A proud caring Nurse for over 50 years,Virginia had worked in a variety of Nursing occupations throughout her career. The beloved wife of 51 years of Lawrence M. Gately, she is also survived by her devoted daughters; Therese Bulcamino and her husband Michael of Wareham and Kathleen Gately of Seekonk. She was the cherished Nana of Daniel, John and Allyson (Cannata) and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Elizabeth Church, Milton, Thursday at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wednesday 4 to 8 pm. Burial in Milton Cemetery.
