Mr. Richard David Starkweather, a lifelong resident of Andover and beloved husband of Lisa C. (Spinelli) Starkweather passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 11, 2016. He was 48 years old. Born in Methuen, Massachusetts, on March 4, 1968, he was the beloved son of David C. and Dorothy (Neville) Starkweather of Biddeford, Maine. Rick was a graduate of Andover High School and Southern New Hampshire University. He worked as a Manager for American Adhesives in Lawrence. In his spare time, Rick enjoyed the outdoors. He loved camping, fishing and riding his motorcycle. Mostly, he loved spending time with his family, especially his children. Rick particularly loved attending their various sporting events. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Lisa and his parents David and Dorothy, Rick is survived by his children; Morgan, Casey, and Jack Starkweather of Andover, brothers; Peter Starkweather and his wife Paula Starkweather of Marlboro, VT and Douglas Starkweather and his partner Mary Moossa of Andover. He was also the loving son-in-law of Edward and Maureen Spinelli of Salem, NH, brother-in-law to James and his wife Deanna Spinelli of Somersworth, NH and Stephen and his wife Angela Spinelli of Acworth, Georgia and Uncle to nieces and nephews- Zack, Harry, Frank, Michael, Paige, Phenix, Rhavin, Maxx, Olivia, Kate, Anna and Emily.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
