Obituary

Emilio Carmine Ciamei of Medford died on Friday, March 11, at the Brigham and Women's Hospital of Boston. Born in Bugnara, AQ region in Abruzzo, Italy, he was the son of the late Panfilo and Anna (Vento) Ciamei. Emilio served in the Italian Army before coming to the U.S., where he first settled in Boston's North End. Emilio worked for Walsh Bros. Construction Co. and was a member of Local 22. He loved to garden, do home projects, and spend time with neighbors and friends.

Emilio was the beloved husband of Lidia (Ricci) Ciamei, and the devoted father of Antonio Ciamei, Anna Ciamei-Mehrez and her husband Richard, and Panfilo Ciamei. He was the brother of Mario and the late Antonio Ciamei, and is also survived by many loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, March 17, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 12 North Sq., Boston, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, March 16, from 4 through 8 PM. Interment will take place in Italy at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Emilio's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
