Obituary

Cynthia Joanne Buxton of Derry, formerly of Chester, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the age of 59. Born April 4, 1956 to the late Elliott Buxton and Edna (Gregory) Buxton.

Younger sister to Nancy (Buxton) Keddy and husband Paul of Raymond. Sister of Richard Buxton of Derry and was pre-deceased by brother Elliott Buxton, Jr. Beloved aunt of Mark Elliott Keddy and wife, Beth of Chester, Michael Shaw Buxton of Londonderry, David Keddy of Raymond, Ron Buxton of Manchester, Brian Buxton of Derry, Theresa (Keddy) Sykes and husband Craig of Epsom and Scott Keddy and wife Kim of Raymond. Cindy also leaves many other nieces and nephews. She was also the great aunt of Michael and Samantha Keddy of Raymond. Cindy also leaves many treasured friends with special mention of Chris Dyson. Cindy also so much valued her friend and mentor, Linda Witherill of Chester and worked at Linda's cat sanctuary for over 25 years. Cindy had a profound love for animals and devoted her life to rescuing and advocating for them. A quiet and unassuming person, she was most at home with her beloved cats. Her love and generosity on behalf of animals was unbounding. Cindy attended White Pines College followed by UNH where she earned her degree as a Veterinary Technician. She worked as a Vet Tech for many years at Derry Animal Hospital under the guidance of Chris Lawson.

There are no calling hours. Following cremation, graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00am in the Great Hill Cemetery, Chester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cindy's memory may be made to the Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Road, Manchester, NH 03102.
