Marjorie M. Butt, 94, of Hampstead, NH, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. She was born in Revere, MA on October 24, 1921, a daughter of the late Lester and Hildred (Crosby) Johnson. Marjorie is formerly of Stoneham, MA where she raised her family. Marjorie enjoyed knitting, dancing, and boating on Sunset Lake for over 60 years. Her greatest joy was being with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.
Marjorie is survived by three daughters, Joan Shea of Hampton NH, Ruth Reczek and her husband Paul of Kingston NH and Lorraine Halchak and her husband John of Atkinson NH, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Butt and her sister, Doris Gidney.
There will be no calling hours. A private ceremony was held for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, MA/NH Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
