CHICOPEE – Armand R. Didierjean, 69, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, March 11, 2016. He passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by all the memories that he loved and cherished. He was born in Holyoke on June 3, 1946, the beloved son of the late Marcel and Audrey (Williams) Didierjean. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a retired iron worker with the Springfield International Association of Iron Workers Local 7. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all, he was a caring and thoughtful guy who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Cheryl A. (Long) Didierjean. They were married at Szot Park in Chicopee on August 5, 2007 and were blessed with over eight years of happiness together. He also leaves his three daughters, Sherry, April and Dawn; his eight grandchildren, Derek, Ryan, Anna, Justin, Amber, Abby, Amanda and Kyle; his great granddaughter, Liliya Mae; his sister, Vickie A. Gladu and her husband, Donald; and his many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Didierjean, Williams and Long families. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. A Graveside Prayer Service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 12 Noon at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 in Section L.
