Marie G. Daugherty

Marie G. Daugherty, 98, formerly of Anderson, died at Rawlins House in Pendleton after a brief illness.
She was born July 4, 1917 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Lawrence and Catharine (Mitten) Balser.
She was a cafeteria worker for Anderson Community Schools for 10 years.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She loved playing the piano and organ, cooking and entertaining.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Bob) Dailey and son, James (Linda) Daugherty; five grandsons, Eric, Kyle and Chad Daugherty and Rob and Ryan (Melissa) Dailey; her sister, Barbara (Keith) Ashby; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell E. Daugherty and a brother, Bernard "Bus" Balser
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Gary Cable of First Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Burial will follow at Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to First Church of the Nazarene Senior Ministries.
