Elizabeth C. (Stubbs) Doherty, 72, of Westport passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Laverne B. and Frances E. (Reynolds) Stubbs, she was raised in Dartmouth prior to moving to Westport in 1970. Mrs. Doherty was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, class of 1963. Prior to retirement, she was a bookkeeper at Sylvan Nursery in Westport for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening during her retirement.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Carol A. Cole and her husband David of Westport and Karen Valley and her husband William of Key Largo, FL; a brother: David H. Stubbs and his wife Jackie of Medford, OR; a grandson: Matthew D. Cole; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements will be private.
