native of Washington N.C., Ed attended the
University of Rich- mond where he was a
member of the Cham- pionship debate team. He was tapped into Tau Kappa Alpha National Forensic Society and Phi Alpha Theta National Honorary History Society. Ed is a graduate of Southern Baptist Theo- logical Seminary and pastored fifty years in
three states; N.C., AL., and KY. He was Mod- erator of Long Run Baptist Assoc. of Louisville in 1985 and member of the Kentucky Baptist Convention’s Mission Board and Nominating Committee. He is survived by Marilyn, his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, son Mark (Michelle) Boyd, Daphne, AL. and daughter, Melodie (Charlie) Ledford, Knoxville, TN. Burial will be in Alexander City, AL.
